About
At 3 AM, the ideas come. By 6 AM, the strategy is set.
From the Situation Room to the Writers’ Room.
I am CJ Guy
For 25 years, I led teams in intelligence and national security, navigating the world’s most complex challenges. Today, I channel that same discipline into writing, directing, and producing films that matter—stories that change the world!
The Transition
People often ask me how I made the leap from 25 years in senior national security leadership to writing and directing films. My answer is simple: They are the same job. Both require the vision to see a future that doesn’t exist yet. Both require the discipline to execute a mission when everything goes wrong. And both rely entirely on understanding the human condition.
The Mission
Put another way, I was tired of not seeing the stories that really resonated with me or the people I knew and decided to do something about it. With my skills and background and crazy imagination, I knew I had a story to tell.
Whether I’m crafting a sci-fi script or leading a workshop, speaking to audiences, my method is the same: Creativity requires Chaos. Filmmaking requires Command.
